Established in 2017, the center secured two national-level projects worth tens of millions of NT dollars. In 2018, it built a massive image database and received an integrated project from the National Science Council. In 2019, it established its first spin-off startup and signed a research cooperation memorandum with Imperial College London to jointly study issues such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, air pollution, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. In 2021, it built the second single-cell sequencing facility and high-parameter flow cytometer in Asia and ranked first in Taiwan in the field of pulmonary fibrosis research. In 2022, it signed a cooperation memorandum with the Institute of Technology at Imperial College London to jointly conduct research on fatigue driving and sleep disorders. In the same year, it received two integrated projects from the National Science Council. We are committed to integrating professional resources from all parties to promote research and development in clinical and translational medicine. We bring together pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, and professionals from the Department of Respiratory Therapy to focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and research of diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and pulmonary fibrosis. With a disease-centric approach, we promote clinically-based and patient-needs-oriented translational medicine, hoping to continuously improve the overall quality of patient care through innovative therapies and precision medicine.
